Budget e-Learning

Need to develop an e-learning program? Here are your options:

  1. Purchase an authoring tool and develop it yourself.
  2. Find an outside vendor and outsource the project.

Finding an authoring tool can take time. Procuring the necessary hardware and peripheral products can also take time. Learning to use everything well can take even more time. Chances are good you will “dumb down” the course because there will be authoring techniques you just won’t have time to learn how to use.

Outsourcing the project can be risky because of “unknowns” that can crop up and cause project cost overruns.

Tapping our years of experience, Creative Approaches has developed a new Budget e-Learning Development program.

  • You write the content using your word processor (we'll help you get started)
  • You provide the necessary graphics (logo, illustrations, photos, etc.)
  • You choose the style from our selection of course options

And we’ll do the rest! This is an inexpensive solution for organizations needing to deliver training via CD-ROM and/or the Web on a tight budget.

Choose the following:

  • Interface design
  • Color scheme
  • Number of lessons/topics
  • CD- or Web-based, or both
  • Testing or no testing
  • Bookmarking *
  • Tracking or not tracking course data *

And you are on your way!

Not an Electronic Page Turner

The problem with many basic e-learning courses is they are essentially “page turners” where the viewer must progress through the content in a linear fashion with no other options.

Our Budget e-Learning Development program allows content to be divided into different lessons which the viewer can access from the main menu. This will allow the user to choose their own learning path at their own pace. Highly interactive questioning techniques are employed to make sure the viewer is learning the material. Also, a course-wide bookmarking system will allow the user to continue where he or she left off if it becomes necessary to exit from the course. You also have the option to track user data, including when they started the course, when they completed it, their score(s) on the tests, and whether they passed.
